Solitaire Tips

Solitaire is a simple card game, known as one of the most popular games in the world and an excellent choice for passing the time.

How to Play Solitaire?

The online game Solitaire is probably the most well-known card game that can be played by one player. The objective of the game is to arrange the cards in ascending order from Ace to King and separately by suits (hearts, spades, clubs, diamonds). The player paves the way to the goal by arranging the cards on the table in columns, descending from the king downward, alternating by color.

The game is simple, encourages thinking and memory, and sometimes strategic consideration. It is suitable for all generations, both the youngest and those young at heart.

What elements does playing Solitaire offer?

At the start of the game, 4 empty spaces appear at the top of the playing field where you will build your final piles of cards from Aces to Kings. There is an initial pile of cards from which the computer randomly offers new cards during the game, and in the lower part of the playing field, which represents the table, there are shuffled piles of partly closed and partly open cards that you can use during the game.

What's the best way to start a Solitaire game?

You start by trying to clear the piles in the lower part of the playing field (on the table), thus opening up space where you can store cards in alternating colors and prepare them for the time when you will place them on the final piles from Aces to Kings. On the table, you can build piles from Kings downward, but you have to place the cards alternately by color.

Which cards will you play with?

A modern deck of cards consists of four different suits (hearts, spades, clubs, diamonds), each suit has 13 cards: numbers from 1 (Ace) to 10, and three faces: Jack, Queen, and King.

Numerous Solitaire game variants offer different levels of difficulty

Over the years, quite a few variants of Solitaire have been established, among which Spider Solitaire is particularly prominent. This game is played with two decks of cards, and before you start, you can choose the difficulty based on the number of suits (hearts, spades, clubs, diamonds).

The game Solitaire Classic is also popular, as is the game Solitaire Big, in which you choose the number of cards that the computer will offer you (1 or 3) before you start playing. We also offer you themed Solitaire games, from colorful ones, to Solitaire Farms, Vegas Solitaire and Mahjong Solitaire.

4 tips for successfully playing Solitaire:

Tip #1: What to do at the beginning of the game?

The game time starts running when you make your first move, so before that, take a close look at the layout of the cards and try to anticipate your first moves. Only then make the initial move.

Tip #2: Which cards to use?

During the game, your goal is to clear the stacks of open and closed cards on your table as soon as possible, and add new cards offered by the computer with the intention of clearing the table more easily.

Tip #3: When NOT to place a card on the final stack?

Don't rush. Even if a card is offered which you can place on the final stack, on which you are building a sequence from ace to king, it is sometimes better to use it in the stacks on your table and thus allow yourself one more move, which will enable the use of more cards.

Tip #4: When to use help?

Many Solitaire games offer help. If you find yourself in a situation where you don't see a solution, use help that will undo your previous move.
